Here’s what I’ve learned- every body is stressed. No matter what your job, your hours, or your home life, there are stressors. Call it the new way of life or whatever. When you read stories about self-care, you often see things about making time for yourself, exercising, having a massage, or slowing down. As a member of a profession where you can’t phone it in on a bad day and where you are going all. the. time. Who has time for that?
I am so excited to be guest posting on Confident Counselors about Self Care. Read more over on Confident Counselors.
I don't know about you but I was up late last night. I bet some of your students were today too! As you know, I work in central office for a large school district. I've heard from many counselors that their kids came to school today with strong emotions about the election results. A friend of mine shared a great idea from a teacher friend, Elizabeth McLamb, to help kids to process their strong feelings and be a good citizen of their class. With her permission, I have added some fun clip art and fonts and am sharing it below or click here. What are you doing to help your students to process the election, results, and their strong feelings? |
