Stay Organized: Spiral Bound Lesson Plans

Stay Organized: Spiral Bound Lesson Plans at www.counselorup.com
How do you organize your lesson plans? I typically use the old plastic sheet protectors in a 3 ring binder method. I have a divider for each grade and keep everything in chronological order. I created my notebooks (one K-2 and one 3-5) one summer years ago and have been so happy ever since.

As I've been working on creating lots of new products for my TPT store, I've thought about how fun it would be to create spiral bound books of lesson plans. This would make a great gift for an intern or colleague as well! As luck would have it, I won a free spiral bound plan book from Appletastic.com and was able to create one spiral bound book with up to 100 pages.

What I Loved

Shelly and her husband, Aric, were so lovely to work with. They were fast communicators and the turn around on my book was super fast. Aric even noticed that a couple of pages were a bit fuzzy and asked me to send better quality photos to make the book easier to read. Overall, it was a really wonderful experience!

Even Better If...

The process would have been even better if there was a way to send smaller PDF files and indicate page order. I use free adobe reader so I don't have a great way to stitch together different PDF files. I also would have loved a way to add jpg cover pages for some of my lesson plans that don't have covers in the files.

The quality of the book is wonderful and it has that nice spiral bound professional look. These are not the spirals that you can make using the spiral machine at your school! Here are some photos if you'd like to take a look.

I want to do homeschool for my kids this year, and I want to be able to put together my own lesson plans. It makes sense that using a spiral binder for that would be a good idea! It would be great to make my kids their own work books, too.
